The Summer of 2018 brought me to Maine to meet 150 relatives from my father’s side of the family I never knew I had. The reunion happened after my father’s death so meeting all these new shining faces came as a comfort to me. I felt less alone after my parents passing. We talked, exchanged stories, learned family history, and cracked lobster together. I will treasure these memories always. The reunion gave me a chance to go on a summer road trip with my husband, two little dogs, Hannah, and Harley exploring Quintessential Maine.
