Last summer was such a reflective time for me. I went back to Chicago and the Midwest after my parents died to reconnect with my family and my roots after over a decade spent enjoying Miami and all it has to offer. It was fulfilling in so many ways that I started to notice a pattern that is a total step back into time. I stayed with my husband Chris in the same apartment building we lived in 15 years ago. We enjoyed seeing our doorman Fred and James again. They were still at the Shoreham greeting everyone with their infectious smiles and well wishes. We frequented our old haunts, shopped at the summer Farmers markets, went to concerts at Millennium Park, and most importantly spent quality time with family and friends. These are a few images of a summer spent reminiscing..
