The Christmas Markets in Zurich are a kaleidoscope of twinkling lights, intoxicating foods, and warming gluhwein to chase off the cold. The moment you walk into this winter wonderland your inner child is dancing with all the festivities. It is open November 23 thru December 23. Rent some skates and circle around the rink, the Opera House and cityscape your backdrop. Taste the variety of international foods. Shop the various stalls filled with trinkets and handicrafts. Grab a friend and just tell stories with your warm mulled wine in your hand. That is just what I did this week while visiting from Miami. It is a great way to kick start the Christmas season.
