Maine is a seafood lover’s paradise. My most memorable lobster lunch by far was at the beloved Five Islands Lobster Company. It was New England perfection. The lobster was as fresh as I have ever tasted. The clam chowder full of sweet clams and creamy briny broth. The corn on the cob and the crisp coleslaw the perfect sides. You queue in line pondering how many pounds of lobster to order. You only live once right? After ordering sit down at one of the picnic tables on the water’s edge. When your number is called pick up your tray, take it back to your table and get ready to taste lobster nirvana.
