A wine dream in the Madonie mountains of Sicily

I have to admit I found Regaleali, the award winning winery, not because of the wine, but because of its equally famous Anna Tasca cooking school. As most of my friends know, I am a passionate home cook. The chance to have a lesson or two from one of the premiere cooking schools in Sicily would have been a dream, but unfortunately they were closed. However, what a pleasure to have the opportunity to taste all the different amazing wines this estate has to offer. The food was at its rustic best. Pure, simple ingredients all grown on their farm – all doused liberally with their estate produced olive oil. It is a challenging experience to get to Regaleali; the roads are borderline donkey paths. But once there the food and wine, and the scenery are some of the best Sicily has to offer.
